First front-engine car designed by Porsche, the road 924 was transformed by Norbert Singer's men into a racing beast so as to take the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1980. All three cars entered crossed the finish line, with the #3 Al Unser and Derek Bell car racing under the American flag.
